Faith.
I’ve come to learn that the faith I believe in is not one without logic and reason. However, we cannot remove faith from the equation. 2 Corinthians 5:7 says, “We live by faith, not by sight.” The very fact that we can’t know everything there is to know about God, makes Him God. I guess, I’ve come to appreciate the mystery and the wonder of it all. He gave me a new life and that changes everything. When doubts do enter my mind it’s because at times it’s so hard to comprehend how someone like Him could ever love someone like me. It’s not my job to prove God’s existence but only to proclaim and live it so. Because it’s the work of the Holy Spirit moving inside our hearts that changes people. Not me.
However, I do not live by blind faith. There’s reasonable cause to believe in God and His son Jesus Christ. In fact as Christians, we can study science and new discoveries in confidence because the things they reveal do not disprove God or the Bible. It only changes the things we thought we originally knew about the Bible.
What I’m trying to say is that believing in God takes faith but it’s a faith with reason. Good reason for that matter.
